Okay, so I’ve been messing around with this thing called “lefty g,” and let me tell you, it’s been a journey. I started with absolutely no clue what I was doing. Seriously, I felt like I was just randomly clicking buttons and hoping for the best.

The Beginning (aka The Confusion Stage)
First, I downloaded the program. That part was easy enough. It was the “using it” part that threw me for a loop. I opened it up, and there were all these options and menus. I just stared at the screen for a good 10 minutes, feeling completely lost.
Experimentation (aka Button Mashing)
Then, I just started clicking. I figured, “What’s the worst that could happen?” Well, I’ll tell you what happened: a whole lot of nothing. Or, at least, a whole lot of things I didn’t understand. I tried different settings, moved sliders around, and basically just experimented with everything I could.
- Clicked on this, nothing.
- Dragged that, still nothing.
- Selected a bunch of stuff, and… surprise, nothing!
Getting Somewhere (aka Tiny Victories)
After a while, though, I started to see some results. It was slow, and it definitely wasn’t pretty, but it was something. I managed to make a basic shape, then I added some color, and slowly but surely, I started to get the hang of it. It’s still a work in progress, but I’m actually making things happen now!
Finally Figured Some Things Out
I realized you gotta start simple.
And I mean that. No crazy detail, no fancy effects.
I picked a basic color palette.
I focused on a few fundamental techniques.
I kept practicing.
It’s still a learning process, and I’m definitely not a pro, but I’m way better than I was when I started. It just goes to show that even if you feel totally lost at first, you can figure things out if you just keep trying. And hey, even a little bit of progress is still progress, right?
