Alright, so today I was messing around with some football stats, specifically about this guy, Kevin Leonardo Mier. I’d heard the name before, he’s a goalkeeper, apparently pretty good, playing for Cruz Azul in the Liga MX. I wanted to see what the fuss was about, you know?

First, I just did a simple search to get a basic idea. Found out he’s Colombian, born in 2000, so he’s still young. That’s all good, but I wanted to dig deeper.
Then I started looking for his stats. I checked out a few different websites that had his Liga MX records. They listed things like minutes played and goals. It was interesting to see those numbers, but I wanted more details. It was like, “Okay, he’s played this many minutes, but what about during his whole career?”
So, I kept searching and found some more detailed stats pages. These ones were cool because they let you filter by different periods and clubs. That was more like it. I wanted to see the bigger picture, not just the recent stuff.
I also learned that he played a bunch of games in the Categoria Primera A in Colombia, something like 86 games. But it was a bit confusing because those stats didn’t include friendlies, so it wasn’t the complete picture.
Finally, I stumbled upon some pages that had match ratings and career overviews. They even had stats per season, which was pretty neat. It was interesting to see how his performance has changed over time.

So, yeah, that’s pretty much how I spent my time today, just digging into Kevin Mier’s football stats. It was a bit of a rabbit hole, but it was cool to learn more about him. I realized that he played a lot of matches, especially in Colombia. That’s it. I think I get a better idea of who he is as a player now. Maybe next time I’ll try to watch some of his games.
