I’ve always been a big fan of football, you know, the passion, the drama, it’s just something else. Recently, I got really into the Carioca Serie A, the Rio de Janeiro State Championship. I thought, why not dive deep into this and see what it’s all about? So, I started my little project, it wasn’t too serious at first, just watching a few games here and there.

First, I tried to figure out the schedule. I spent some time browsing through different sports websites, trying to piece together when the matches were happening. It took a bit of effort, but I finally managed to get a good overview of the upcoming games.
Keep Track of Standings
- I set up a simple spreadsheet to keep track of the standings.
- Every time a match was played, I would update the table with the results.
- It was pretty basic, but it gave me a clear picture of how each team was performing.
Then, I wanted to get into the stats. I started collecting data on things like goals, yellow cards, and corners. I even dabbled with some xG (expected goals) stats, just to see if I could get a better understanding of the teams’ performances. It was a bit overwhelming at first, but I got the hang of it after a while.
Watch Games and Highlights
- I started watching more games, live whenever possible, and catching up on highlights for the ones I missed.
- I found that some channels like Rede Bandeirantes and BandSports were showing the games, which was great.
- I also discovered that I could watch some matches and highlights on YouTube and Twitch.
I was really getting into it now. I started reading more about the history of the league, the key teams, and the format of the matches. I even found a few articles online that gave me a good introduction to the league.
Share My Findings
- I decided to start sharing my findings with others.
- I created a blog where I would post updates on the standings, stats, and my thoughts on the matches.
- It was just a small thing, but it was fun to connect with other fans and share my passion for the Carioca Serie A.
It’s been a fun journey so far. I’ve learned a lot about the Carioca Serie A, and I’m excited to keep following it and sharing my findings with others. It’s not about being an expert or anything, it’s just about enjoying the game and the community around it.
