Hey all you dreamers out there, let me tell you about my recent deep dive into the world of “The American Dream” Dusty Rhodes and his many, many characters. I’ve always been a huge fan of the guy, so I decided to really get into it and see what all he did during his career.

First, I started by reading everything I could find about Dusty. I mean, this guy was involved with Jim Crockett Promotions, WCW, ECW, you name it. He was all over the place! I was going through forum posts, and old articles, and learned a ton of stuff I had no idea about. Did you know that he was in the first ever Wargames match? He teamed up with the Road Warriors, Nikita Koloff, and Paul Ellering. They were up against the Four Horsemen, with Ric Flair, Arn Anderson and all those guys. Crazy, right? I was digging through this stuff for hours.
Then, I watched a bunch of old promos. Man, that guy could talk! When Dusty cut a promo, you felt it. It was real, it was intense. He wasn’t some superhero character, he was just a regular guy, a common man. No wonder people loved him so much. I must have watched dozens of those things, I couldn’t get enough.
Then, I wanted to explore his family. I knew he had a son who became a wrestler, but I didn’t know that the Goldust character was also him! I was so surprised! Apparently, Vince McMahon and Bruce Prichard dreamed up Goldust way back in 1995. Who knew, right? I had to watch some of Goldust’s stuff after that, and it was so different from his dad’s work. This stuff is wild, I spent all night looking into this stuff.
I also discovered that he had another son who went by the name Cody Rhodes. I found some stuff about Cody too. It’s like a whole family of wrestlers, it’s really something.
I was just amazed by the whole thing. Dusty was a legend, there’s no doubt about it. I just kept on searching his name and found so many stories. People were talking about how respected he was by other wrestlers, even by guys like DiBiase. These big guys are always well liked by the people who love wrestling. I stayed up all night reading all this stuff, I just couldn’t stop.

Finally, I realized I needed to organize all this info. So I started making a list of all the different characters Dusty played, and I added notes about each one. It took a while, but I ended up with a pretty comprehensive list. And you know what? I’m gonna keep digging. I want to learn everything I can about Dusty Rhodes. His legacy was so strong, this man passed away in 2015, but people still talk about him.
So, that’s my Dusty Rhodes adventure so far. It’s been a wild ride, and I’m not done yet. I’m so happy that I did all this research, I have a lot of fun just searching for these wrestlers and learning more about them. If you’re a wrestling fan, or even if you’re not, I highly recommend checking out some of his stuff. You won’t regret it. Peace out, dreamers!
