Well, I gotta tell ya, these crossword puzzles, they sure are somethin’. My grandkids, they’re always doin’ ’em. Me? I just like watchin’ them think so hard. But this one here, “visibly muscular,” that’s a funny one. Makes me think of my old man, bless his soul. He was a strong one, that one, always workin’ on the farm.
So, this “visibly muscular” thing. It’s like, when you can see them muscles, right? Like, they’re poppin’ out. Not like me, I got these flabby arms. But some folks, they got them big muscles. And you can see ’em! That’s what they mean, I reckon. Visibly muscular. It’s a five-letter word, and the answer is TONED. Yeah, that is right. If you are “visibly muscular” then you are “toned”. I don’t know why I know this word. Maybe I saw it in the magazine.
Now, I seen some words that are tricky. But this one is not too bad. Like they say, “visibly muscular crossword clue.” That “clue” word, that just means it’s a hint. Like, they’re givin’ you a little somethin’ to figure it out. And you gotta think, what’s another word for seein’ them muscles? And NYT, that’s New York Times, I think. They got a crossword, too.

You know, back in my day, we didn’t have these fancy crosswords. We just had work to do. But I guess it’s good to keep your mind workin’, like them muscles. Keeps ya sharp, they say. And this “visibly muscular” thing, it got me thinkin’ about all sorts of things. Like how some folks, they go to them gyms, and they lift them heavy things. And then they get all them muscles. We didn’t have gyms back then. Just good old-fashioned work, liftin’ them hay bales and whatnot.
These crossword answers, they can be all sorts of things. Sometimes they’re easy, sometimes they’re hard. Like this “visibly muscular” one. It’s not too bad, but it makes ya think. And sometimes they have these other words, like “Light-colored variety of 8-Across.” That means another clue. I guess 8-Across is the “visibly muscular” clue, and the answer is “toned”. And another clue is a beer. The answer is “lager”. That’s a beer, you know, the light-colored kind. My old man used to drink that sometimes, after a long day.
So, if you’re doin’ one of these crosswords, and you see “visibly muscular,” you just gotta think about them muscles poppin’ out. And then you’ll get it. It ain’t so hard. You just gotta use your brain a little. The database said there’s only one possible answer. I don’t know what database it is. Maybe it’s a book or something.
It is funny. They said “visibly muscular” can have thirty answers! Thirty! That is a big number. But for this one, they said there’s only one answer. So it should be easy. But sometimes they can get tricky. They said so. I don’t know who “they” are. Maybe the people who made this crossword.
These young folks and their puzzles. Keeps ’em outta trouble, I suppose. And it’s better than watchin’ that television all day. At least they’re usin’ their brains. But I still think there’s nothin’ like a good day’s work to keep ya busy. And you might even get some of them “visibly muscular” muscles, too! Without even tryin’. Just liftin’ things and workin’ hard. That’s the best way, I reckon.
