Alright, folks, gather ’round! Today, I’m diving deep into something I’ve been messing with – the history of Vikings quarterbacks. It’s been a wild ride, let me tell you.

First, I started by just brainstorming, you know? Trying to remember all the Vikings QBs I could off the top of my head. I jotted down names like Fran Tarkenton, of course, Daunte Culpepper, and even some of the more…forgettable ones. (No offense, guys!)
The Research Begins!
Then, I hit the internet. I wanted to make sure I wasn’t missing anyone important, and I wanted to get all the dates and stats right. I found a bunch of articles about them.
- It got messy, fast. I had all these browser tabs open, each with bits and pieces of information.
Organizing the Chaos
So, I decided I needed a better system. I opened up a simple spreadsheet – nothing fancy, just something to keep things straight. I created columns for the quarterback’s name, the years they played for the Vikings, and some key stats like touchdowns and interceptions.
I then started to put the informaiton into the spreadsheet one by one.I also add a column to note that who is good or bad, I mean, personal opinions.
Putting It All Together
Once I had all the data in the spreadsheet, it was much easier to see the big picture. I could compare different eras of Vikings quarterbacks, see who had the most success, and get a sense of the team’s overall history at the position.

Finally, I spent some time just looking over everything, making sure it all made sense and that I hadn’t missed anything crucial. I added few notes. It’s not perfect, but it’s a solid overview, and it’s way better than what I started with!
That’s pretty much it! It was a fun little project, and I learned a lot along the way. Hope you all enjoyed this little peek into my process.
