Okay, so I tried out this “romangoddess” thing today, and let me tell you, it was a journey. I’m not even sure what I expected, but it was definitely… something.

First, I spent like, an hour just trying to figure out what the heck it even was. I Googled it, went down some rabbit holes, and finally realized it’s basically about creating this whole persona, right? A Roman goddess vibe. Think flowing robes, maybe a laurel wreath, and a whole lot of confidence.
Getting into Character
This was the hardest part for me. I’m more of a jeans-and-t-shirt kind of girl. So, I started by rummaging through my closet. I found this long, white-ish dress that I haven’t worn in ages. It was kinda wrinkled, but hey, that just added to the “ancient” feel, I guess.
- The Dress: Old, white, and slightly wrinkled. Perfect!
- The Hair: I tried to do some kind of fancy updo, but it ended up looking like a bird’s nest. So I just went with a messy bun.
- The Accessories: I found a gold-colored necklace and some bangles. I felt a little ridiculous, but I was committed.
Embracing the Goddess
Then came the hard part. I went through my home and gave myself the mission that match with this theme.
I went around and gave everyone instructions, I felt a bit silly at first, giving out orders like I was some kind of queen. But then, I started to get into it. It was actually kind of… empowering?
I pretended that the tap water was a sacred spring. I actually felt more… graceful, more… present. It was weird, but in a good way.

The Aftermath
So, did I become a Roman goddess? Not really. But did I have fun? Yeah, I kinda did. It was a nice break from the everyday routine, and it definitely made me feel a little more confident and in control, even if it was just pretend. I might even try it again sometime, maybe with a different outfit and a better hairstyle. Who knows, maybe I’ll even invest in a proper laurel wreath.
