Okay, so I saw this “policeman’s cup” thing and I was like, “What the heck is that?” I gotta try this, just for kicks.

First, I looked it up. Seems simple enough, right? Just a shot of espresso and a lemon wedge. But, you know, presentation is everything, so I wanted to do it right.
I started with the espresso. I don’t have one of those fancy-schmancy espresso machines, so I just used my regular coffee maker and made it super strong. Like, almost sludge. I poured a little bit into a small glass – gotta keep it authentic, you know?
Finding the Perfect Lemon
Next, the lemon. This was surprisingly the hardest part! I went to three different stores before I found a lemon that looked… I don’t know… worthy. I wanted one that was bright yellow, not too big, not too small. Goldilocks of lemons, I guess.
Once I had my prized lemon, I carefully cut a wedge. Not too thick, not too thin. Then I squeezed a tiny bit of juice into the espresso. Just a drop or two. The videos I watched made a big deal about not overdoing it.
- made coffee very strong.
- serached the stores to pick a good-looking lemon.
- cut the lemon.
The Moment of Truth
Then, it was time. I took a deep breath, held the lemon wedge, and took a sip of the espresso. And… wow. It was… interesting.

It’s like, the bitterness of the coffee and the sourness of the lemon kind of fight each other, but then they also, like, complement each other? It’s hard to explain.
I finished the whole thing, lemon wedge and all. Honestly, I don’t know if I’d do it again. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t exactly my cup of tea… or, uh, coffee. But hey, I tried it! And that’s what matters, right? Gotta keep things interesting.

So next time,I may try other things, but I’m not sure yet.
