Okay, let’s dive into my little project today, “all hantengu clones.”

All Hantengu Clones: Everything You Need to Know in One Place!

So, I’ve been on a bit of a Demon Slayer kick lately, and Hantengu’s whole “clones representing different emotions” thing? Totally fascinating. I wanted to see if I could, you know, do something with that. Not, like, actually create emotional clones, but… represent them, somehow. My first thought was, “I should draw them”, but my art skills are, uh, less than stellar. My stick figures look depressed.

The Brainstorm

I started by just listing out the clones and their main emotions, all base on my memory, so it may not be perfect:

  • Sekido (Anger)
  • Karaku (Pleasure)
  • Aizetsu (Sorrow)
  • Urogi (Joy)
  • Zohakuten (Hatred) – I think this guy’s technically a fusion of the others, but, whatever.
  • Urami(Resentment)-This is hantengu’s final apperance.

Then I’m thinking, okay, what can I actually do? I’m no sculptor, I can’t code some fancy AI emotion generator (yet!), and, as previously established, drawing is out. But, I remembered that i have some old toys to try and make some custom character of them.

The “Crafting” (If You Can Call It That)

I rummaged my storage room, and found six similar enough toys. Perfect! This was the core of my “clones”.

Now, I’m trying to think, how do I make these guys visually distinct? And, how can I do it cheaply? And my skill? I start to paint them.I just get some basic acrylic paints from the local craft store. Nothing fancy, just the cheap stuff.

All Hantengu Clones: Everything You Need to Know in One Place!
  • Sekido (Anger): All red, get angry red face and made the hair stand on end.
  • Karaku (Pleasure): A laid-back, smug expression. I gave him a goofy grin.
  • Aizetsu (Sorrow): I tried to make him look, all droopy and sad, with downturned eyes and mouth, paint it with dark blue color.
  • Urogi (Joy): Wide, excited eyes, a big, open-mouthed grin. Lots of bright yellow.
  • Zohakuten (Hatred): I gave him a real mean squint and a snarling mouth. Lots of sharp angles. All dark green.
  • Urami(Resentment):A bigger size toy to show how the strong power is, and the face is similar to the original hantengu.

The Final Result

So, yeah, I made myself a set of Hantengu emotion. They’re not perfect, they’re not winning any awards, but I made * you know what? It was actually kind of therapeutic, messing around with paint and trying to capture these different * is fun!I may make another set of character in the future.
