Master the Toga Kiss: Tips and Tricks for a Perfect Party Moment

Okay, so I’ve been seeing this “toga kiss” thing all over TikTok and I was like, “What the heck is that?” I had to try it out, of course. It looked kinda fun, kinda silly, so I grabbed my husband and a bedsheet – because who actually owns a toga, right?

Getting Started

First, we had to figure out how to even wear this thing. I mean, it’s just a big rectangle of fabric. We watched a couple of videos, and it seemed simple enough. You basically drape it over one shoulder, wrap it around, and tie it somehow.

  • Step 1: Find a bedsheet. We used a white one, because, you know, classic toga vibes.
  • Step 2: Drape it over one shoulder. This was already confusing.

My husband was already laughing at me, and I hadn’t even started the “kiss” part. My draping skills were… questionable. It kept falling off. He was doing slightly better, but his toga looked more like a messy diaper.

The “Kiss”

So, the actual kiss. The idea, from what I understood, is that you both kinda lean in and pull the toga up over your heads, creating this little… tent of love? I don’t know. It sounds romantic in theory.

We tried it. And immediately burst out laughing. We looked ridiculous! The sheet kept getting tangled, and instead of a graceful, romantic moment, it was more like a wrestling match with a bedsheet. We were bumping heads, the sheet was falling down, and it was just a hilarious mess.

  • attempt number 1:fail
  • attempt number 2:fail
  • attempt number 3:Almost!

Finally, after many, many failed attempts, we kinda got it. We managed to pull the sheet up and over, creating a little enclosed space, and shared a quick kiss. It was more of a peck, really, because we were both still giggling.

The Result

Honestly? It was fun! Not exactly the romantic, movie-style moment I might have envisioned, but definitely fun. It was a great way to be silly and laugh with my husband. Would I do it again? Maybe! If I ever find myself at a toga party, I’ll definitely be prepared.

I get the hype now, is super cute, and a good way to get the laughs out. If you’re looking for a fun, silly activity to do with your partner, give the toga kiss a try. Just be prepared to look (and feel) a little ridiculous. And maybe practice your toga-draping skills beforehand. You’ve been warned!
