Okay, so I wanted to take down Balthazar in Baldur’s Gate 3, and let me tell you, it was a journey. I did some digging online first, watched some videos, and read some guides. It looked tough, but I was determined!

Preparation is Key
First things first, I made sure my party was leveled up enough. I think we were around level 8 or 9, which seemed to be the sweet spot based on what I saw online. I also stocked up on potions – healing potions, potions of speed, the works. Anything that I thought could save a character.
- Healing Potions: You’re gonna need these, trust me.
- Potions of Speed: Extra attacks? Yes, please.
- Scrolls: I grabbed some useful scrolls, like Revivify, just in case.
The Battle Itself
I started the fight, and whoa, Balthazar hit hard. My front-line fighter went down fast. I used a healing potion right away to get them back up. I then positioned my spellcasters at a good distance.
I tried to focus all my attacks on Balthazar. The idea was to take him down as quickly as possible, because the adds would keep spawning. I used everything I had – my strongest spells, my melee fighters’ best attacks. I had one character whose sole job was to keep everyone else alive with heals.
It was a back-and-forth battle. Balthazar summoned more undead, I tried to blast Balthazar again. Characters went down, I revived them. Potions were chugged. It was messy, I won’t lie. I kept my spellcasters at range as best as I could and had them focus their fire on the boss.
Finally, after what felt like forever, Balthazar went down! I let out a huge sigh of relief. The remaining undead were easy to clean up afterward.

Lessons Learned
It might take a few tries. Don’t get discouraged if you wipe the first time (or the second…or the third…).
Experiment with different strategies.
Have Fun,it is just a game,after all.
