Okay, so the other day I had this crazy idea to try “light tube wrestling.” It sounded ridiculous, I know, but I was bored and had a bunch of those long, cardboard tubes left over from some posters.
First, I gathered all the tubes. I think I had about six or seven of varying lengths. I laid them out on the living room floor, making sure there was plenty of space around – didn’t want to knock over any lamps or anything.
Getting Started
I roped in my roommate, Mark, to join the fun. He was skeptical at first, but I convinced him it would be hilarious. We each grabbed a tube – I picked the longest one, figuring it would give me an advantage. We stood facing each other, tubes held like swords, trying to look all serious and intimidating, which was pretty hard given the situation.
The “Wrestling” Begins
- We started by just lightly tapping the tubes together, kind of like a sword fight but way less graceful.
- Then, things escalated. We started swinging the tubes harder, trying to knock the other person’s tube out of their hands.
- There was a lot of dodging and weaving, and some accidental hits to the body (nothing painful, just funny).
- The tubes are very light weight,So it won’t hurt.
The Hilarious Climax
It is so funny at first.
After a few minutes of this, we were both laughing so hard we could barely stand. One time, I swung my tube and completely missed Mark, losing my balance and almost falling over. He took advantage of the moment and whacked my tube out of my hand, declaring himself the winner.
We’ll do it next time for sure!
The whole thing was incredibly silly, but it was a blast. We ended up collapsing on the floor, out of breath from laughing so much. The tubes were pretty bent up by the end, but it was totally worth it. It’s definitely a fun and goofy way to let off some steam, and all that is need are any light and long material tubes.
