Oh boy, the Mavs starting lineup, that’s a thing, ain’t it? My eyes ain’t what they used to be, but I try to keep up with them Dallas boys.
The other day, it was last Tuesday, they lost to them Pacers, 137-120. They were playin’ real bad, all out of sorts. Then they go and switch things up. Seems like they always changin’ who’s playin’ when. It’s hard to keep up, I tell ya.

They put that Kleber fella in, Maxi Kleber. He’s alright. He’s been doin’ good lately, he really has. They won the other night, played against the Pelicans, beat ’em good. I think they found a good mix, maybe. That is what people are saying lately. A new Mavs starting lineup might be a good thing. I think they gonna use this lineup more often.
They got them guards, you see, two of ’em usually. And a big fella in the middle, the center. Then two more, they call ’em forwards, I think. 2-1-2, that’s what folks call the setup. It is not in the official book or something, I don’t know. These young folks come up with all kinds of names for things.

These boys, they move around a lot, playin’ different spots. It ain’t like the old days. Basketball was more simple back then, I reckon.
Mavs Starting Lineup Tonight
Tonight, they playin’ them Spurs. Big game, always is when they play them San Antonio boys. Used to be a big rivalry, many years. Been watchin’ them play for years, seen ’em on the TV. It starts at 6:30, I think. I gotta make sure I’m settled in my chair by then.
They practice hard, these boys. They been all over the world playin’, 12 days, they said. Some of ’em are hurt though, always gettin’ hurt. That’s the way it is with sports, I suppose. It is not easy being a basketball player, I guess.
I like watchin’ ’em play, even if I don’t always understand what’s goin’ on. They run up and down that court so fast. It’s excitin’, keeps this old heart pumpin’.
Who’s in the Mavs Starting Lineup?
That’s what everyone wants to know, ain’t it? Who’s gonna be out there on the court? They don’t always tell you right away. Gotta wait and see, I guess. It’s like a surprise, every game. It’s good to know who is playing, so you can know who to watch.
Sometimes they play good, sometimes they don’t. That’s just the way it goes. But they try hard, most of ’em. This year, Mavs starting lineup changes a lot, so it is very hard to tell. They are a good team, I think. Even if they don’t always play good.
Watching the Mavs Game
I like to get a good seat in front of the TV, make sure I got my snacks ready. Peanuts, mostly. Sometimes popcorn. It’s a big deal. People buy tickets to watch them play. The game is fun to watch. Sometimes they have live scores online. But watching them on TV is good enough.
It ain’t the same as bein’ there in person, I’m sure. But it’s close enough for me. I can yell at the TV just as good as I can yell at the players in person! It is very fun, and I like to do it.
I hope they win tonight. It’s always more fun when they win. But even if they don’t, I’ll still watch ’em next time. They are my team. The Mavs starting lineup, well, it can be good, it can be bad, but they are my boys. And I will support them. And I hope they will not lose again like they did to the Pacers. That was a bad game. And I hope they win tonight.
