Okay, so today I was messing around with some baseball data, specifically looking at two players: Bryan De La Cruz and Elly De La Cruz. I’ve been hearing a lot about both of them, and I wanted to see what all the fuss was about, stat-wise. So, I started digging!

Getting Started
First, I needed to find a good source for their stats. I’m not a big fan of just using any old website, so I hit up a few of the major ones that I trust like baseball websites.
Once I had my sources lined up, I started pulling in the basic stuff.
- Games Played: Gotta know how much they’re actually on the field.
- At-Bats: How many chances they get at the plate.
- Runs: How many times they make it all the way around the bases.
- Hits: How often they get a good, solid hit.
- Home Runs: Everyone loves a good homer, right?
- RBIs: Runs Batted In – how many runs they help score.
- Stolen base: How many bases are stolen.
Diving Deeper
After I got the basic numbers, I wanted to go a bit further. I looked into some more advanced stats, things like:
- Batting Average: Just a classic measure of how well they hit.
- On-Base Percentage: How often they get on base, not just hits.
- Slugging Percentage: A measure of their hitting power.
I spent some time comparing their stats side-by-side. It was pretty interesting to see how they stacked up against each other!
The Wrap-Up
I didn’t find out something new. The interesting point is that they have same last name.

I’ll probably do some more digging later, maybe compare them to some other players, too. But for now, that’s my little data dive on Bryan and Elly De La Cruz!
