Okay, so today I decided to mess around with comparing Arsenal and Newcastle, just for kicks. It wasn’t anything super serious, more like a fun little project to see what I could dig up.

Getting Started
First, I needed to figure out what exactly I wanted to compare. I mean, “Arsenal and Newcastle” is pretty broad, right? So, I thought, let’s look at their recent performance. You know, wins, losses, goals – the usual stuff.
- Step 1: Find a good data source. I spent some time poking around different websites.
- Step 2: Grab the info. I figured recent matches would be the most interesting.
Diving into the Data
Once I had the recent match data, I started putting it into a simple table. Nothing fancy, just wins, losses, draws, goals for, and goals against. This made it much easier to, like, visually see what was going on.I created a simple table using pen and paper to compare both teams head to head
Putting it Together
After I had all the data organized, I started looking for any, like, obvious patterns. Did one team consistently score more goals? Was one team better at defending? I used basic addition and substraction to calculate the margin, goal difference, goals against, and similar simple stats
It’s a bit rough, I only use pen and paper, and some simple calculations, but it gave me a general idea of how the two teams stack up against each other, based on their recent games.
