Okay, so today was the day I tried my hand at the Deposition Horse Wood Memorial. Let me tell you, it was a wild ride from start to finish!

I woke up early, feeling that familiar mix of excitement and nerves. First things first, I grabbed my gear and double-checked everything. You don’t want to be caught off guard in something like this. Then I headed out to Aqueduct, where the whole thing was going down.
When I got there, the place was buzzing. So many people, all there for the same reason – to see some top-notch horse racing. I found my spot and started studying the horses. There was this one, Resilience, that caught my eye. I don’t know what it was, but something about him just screamed “winner.” He’s an Into Mischief colt, and let me tell you, he looked the part.
- Checked out the info on Deposition too, a 4-year-old colt sired by Constitution. Seemed like a solid contender, but I still had my money on Resilience.
As the race time neared, the tension was palpable. I watched as they loaded the horses into the gates. And then, they were off!
It was a blur of hooves and dirt. I kept my eyes glued on Resilience, and boy, did he deliver. He took the lead around the final turn, just like I knew he would. It was like watching poetry in motion. John Velazquez, the jockey, handled him perfectly – a real pro.
Resilience cruised to victory. It wasn’t even close. He won the $750,000 Wood Memorial like it was nothing. I couldn’t help but cheer. What a race!

The Aftermath
After the race, the crowd was electric. Everyone was talking about Resilience’s dominant performance. I hung around for a bit, soaking up the atmosphere and chatting with some fellow racing fans. Seemed like everyone was as impressed as I was.
All in all, it was an incredible day. I witnessed a fantastic race, and seeing Resilience win was the cherry on top. This Deposition Horse Wood Memorial is definitely one for the books. I can’t wait to see what Resilience does next. If today was anything to go by, he’s got a bright future ahead of him. What a day, honestly, what a day.
I am so happy that I went out to see the race today, I have to rest for a few days, I will be back soon to write more stories.
