So, I wanted to catch a Spurs basketball game the other day. First thing I did was pull out my phone and look up their schedule. Just a quick search to see when they were playing and who they were up against.

Turns out, they were playing the Philadelphia 76ers on Monday, December 23rd. Perfect, I had that evening free! Next, I needed to figure out how to watch it. The info I found mentioned a TV channel and something about a live stream, but I’m more of a TV guy myself.
I have Dish Network, so I grabbed my remote and started hunting for the channel. Found some info online that said FOX Sports Southwest was showing the game. It listed channel 446 for standard definition and 9516 for high definition. Sweet, I’ve got HD!
While I was at it, I stumbled upon some stuff about betting odds. Apparently, the Spurs were favored to win by 4.5 points against New Orleans in another game. Not that I’m into betting, but it’s always interesting to see what the “experts” think.
- There are apps and websites where you can stream NBA games live or watch old ones. Not really my thing, but it’s good to know.
- It mentioned something about finding local channels and kickoff times for Spurs games in different countries. That’s cool, I guess, if you’re traveling.
Some other things:
Anyway, I found the channel, settled in on the couch, and watched the game. It was a good one! They were playing the Minnesota Timberwolves, and the Spurs had a pretty good record going into the game. I think they were 16 wins and 15 losses or something like that.
Oh, and I remember reading somewhere that the Spurs were coming off a loss in their season opener, so I figured they’d be hungry for a win. And they were! It was a great game to watch, and I’m glad I didn’t miss it.

That’s pretty much it. Just a regular evening, enjoying some basketball. Nothing too complicated, just had to do a little digging to find the right channel. Now I know where to look for the next game!
