Okay, so, I was thinking about what kind of blog post I should write today. I wanted to do something fun, something a bit different, you know? Then I saw some videos online, all about first dates and how awkward they can be. It got me thinking about all the first dates I’ve been on, and how hard it can be to keep a conversation going.

So, I decided to make a list of my favorite questions to ask on a first date. These are questions that I think are interesting, that can help you get to know someone better, and that are just good for keeping things flowing.
My Favorite Questions
- What’s something you’re passionate about?
This is a great way to see what makes someone tick. I love hearing about the things that people get excited about, whether it’s their job, a hobby, or something else entirely.
- What’s your favorite way to spend a weekend?
I think this question can tell you a lot about a person. Are they the type to stay in and relax, or do they prefer to be out and about? Do they like to be with friends, or do they prefer some alone time? It’s a good way to see if your lifestyles are compatible, too.
- If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?
I love this question because it’s fun to dream, and it can also be revealing. Maybe they want to go somewhere exotic and adventurous, or maybe they’d rather visit a place with a lot of history and culture. Plus, it’s a great way to spark a conversation about travel in general, which is always fun.
- What’s the most interesting thing you’ve read or watched lately?
This is a good way to get a sense of someone’s interests, and it can lead to some really interesting conversations. I’ve learned about so many cool books, movies, and TV shows from asking this question on dates.
- What are you looking for in a relationship?
Okay, this one can be a bit forward, but I think it’s important to be upfront about what you want. It doesn’t have to be a heavy conversation, but it’s good to get a sense of whether you’re on the same page.
Tried out these questions on a few of my friends, just to see how they’d go over. It was actually really fun! We ended up having some great conversations, and I even learned some new things about them. After that, I went on a couple of dates myself and used these questions. It made things so much easier! The conversations flowed naturally, and I felt like I was actually getting to know the people I was with.
So, there you have it! Those are some of my favorite questions to ask on a first date. Hope you find them helpful, and who knows, maybe they’ll help you find that special someone. Dating can be tough, but it can also be a lot of fun. It’s all about finding the right person, and sometimes, all it takes is asking the right questions. Just remember to be yourself, be open, and have fun with it! These questions are just a starting point, a way to break the ice and get the conversation flowing. Good luck out there!
