So, the other day, I was watching a sports game, and this Gatorade commercial came on. It got me thinking, “What’s their slogan anyway?” I couldn’t remember it for the life of me, so I decided to do a little digging.

First, I grabbed my phone and opened up Google. Typed in “Gatorade slogan,” and bam, a bunch of results popped up. Apparently, their most iconic slogan is “Is It In You?” which they just brought back. I recognized that one! It’s been around forever, like since 1965 or something. Some articles mentioned that the football team of the University of Florida used it in the field.
But then, I found some other slogans too. One of them was “Win From Within.” I guess that one makes sense, talking about inner strength and all. Also, I stumbled upon another slogan that went like “Winning is hard work”. It emphasized the effort and hard work.
Then there was this other one, “Float like a Butterfly, Sting like a Bee.” That’s a Muhammad Ali quote! I guess they were trying to associate themselves with a legendary athlete. Also, I found out that some ads had slogans like “You Don’t Sweat It,” which was told by Cam Newton.
Here’s what I gathered:
- “Is It In You?” – This seems to be their main, classic slogan.
- “Win From Within” – Focused on inner strength.
- “Winning is hard work” – Focused on effort.
- “Float like a Butterfly, Sting like a Bee” – Borrowed from Muhammad Ali.
- “You Don’t Sweat It” – Told by Cam Newton.
So yeah, it turns out Gatorade has used a bunch of different slogans over the years. It was actually kind of interesting to see how they’ve changed their marketing messages. They used posters and commercials to spread their messages. They used ethos, pathos, and logos to appeal to the audience. But “Is It In You?” is definitely the one that sticks out the most. It was cool to learn a bit more about it!
