Hey there, you young’uns! Let me tell you about that Millwall versus Rotherham football game. It was somethin’ else, I tell ya! Happened on September 20, 2023. You know, that’s what the young folks call a “match”. A Sky Bet Championship, they said. I ain’t never heard of it before, but there were many people there!
The game, it was on the Sky. I think they call it Sky Sports. We don’t have that fancy stuff, but my neighbor, she let me watch it on her big TV. She is into that football stuff. My grandson always watches that Sky Sports+ thing, but I told him I couldn’t follow along with what is going on.

So, these Millwall fellers, they were playin’ against the Rotherham United folks. I heard some folks yellin’ “Come on, you Lions!” for Millwall. I guess that’s their nickname or somethin’.

Now, I ain’t no expert on this football stuff. But I saw a lot of runnin’ back and forth. And kickin’ that ball. They kept tryin’ to get it in that net thing. And the crowd, oh boy, they were loud! Every time someone got close to that net, they’d all jump up and yell. It was excitin’, even for an old gal like me.
I think those Millwall boys, they were pretty good. They scored three times, I believe. That Rotherham team, they tried their best, but they couldn’t keep up. That’s what happens sometimes, I reckon. You win some, you lose some. That is what people say.
Sky Bet Championship
This whole thing, it was part of somethin’ called the Sky Bet Championship. Sounds important, don’t it? I heard it’s a big deal in the football world. I guess those Millwall and Rotherham teams, they’re part of that. They play against other teams, tryin’ to be the best. It’s like a big competition. All I know is that it was a lot more excitin’ than watchin’ those soap operas.
That Millwall team, I heard they haven’t done too great in the past few years. Someone said they haven’t finished higher than eighth place in seven seasons. But they seem to be doin’ alright now. Maybe this is their year. They are trying to be in the top six. I heard them talking about it.
Football on Sky Sports
You know, they show a lot of football on that Sky Sports. Not just this Millwall versus Rotherham game. They got all sorts of matches. They even have women’s football. I saw some of that once. They’re pretty good, those ladies! It’s all very fast-paced. It gets my heart racin’ watchin’ all that runnin’!
My neighbor, she told me you can watch it on Sky Sports+ too. That’s another one of those channels, I guess. We don’t have that. But she says it’s got even more football. Can you imagine? It’s like football all day long! I don’t know how those young folks keep up with it all. The world is gettin’ crazier and crazier.
This Millwall versus Rotherham game, though, it was somethin’ special. It was a good game, even if I didn’t understand all the rules. It was fun to watch, and it was nice to see everyone so excited. That Millwall team, they really put on a show. And that Rotherham team, well, they gave it their all. That’s all you can ask for, ain’t it? I can’t wait until the next big game!
This football game, it is a big deal. I still don’t know much about it, but it is fun to watch. I think more old folks like me should watch. It is better than Bingo. At least, you see young folks running around and trying their best. That is always a good thing to see.
I might have to watch more of this Sky Sports thing. See what all the fuss is about. Maybe I will learn something about the game. If not, at least I can see people run around and yell, haha! That is always fun. I hope Millwall will do good this year. They seem to be good boys.
