Okay, so about this MLB cup thing. It wasn’t some grand plan, really. I just needed a new mug for my morning coffee. My old one, chipped, finally gave up the ghost after I dropped it. Bad morning that day.

So, I started looking around online. Didn’t want anything fancy. Just something solid, decent size. Stumbled across these MLB ones. I’m not even a massive baseball fan, maybe watch a game here and there if it’s on. But I liked the look of one, the team colors were kinda cool, reminded me of the ballpark snacks vibe, you know? Simple blue and white. Looked sturdy in the picture.
Clicked ‘buy’. Didn’t think much more of it. Waited a few days.
The package arrived. I opened it up. First thing I noticed, it felt heavier than I expected. Solid ceramic. That was good. The logo was printed on, not just a cheap sticker. Ran my finger over it. Seemed decent quality.
First Use and Washing
Naturally, the first step was washing it. Gave it a good scrub with soap and hot water. Didn’t want any factory dust in my coffee. Dried it off. It felt good in the hand, nice handle size, not too small like some mugs.
Next morning, brewed my coffee. Poured it in. The capacity was just right, held a good amount without being ridiculously huge. Sat down, took a sip. The coffee tasted like coffee, obviously, the mug didn’t magically change it. But it felt comfortable to hold. The weight was reassuring.

- Washed it by hand the first few times.
- Then got lazy, started putting it in the dishwasher.
- Checked the bottom – yeah, dishwasher safe. Phew.
It’s been through the dishwasher cycle maybe twenty times now? The colors haven’t faded, logo’s still intact. That surprised me a bit. Usually, prints start peeling or fading after a while on cheaper stuff.
So yeah, it’s just become my go-to mug now. Sits there on the counter after washing, ready for the next morning. Sometimes I use it for tea in the afternoon too. It’s simple, does the job. Nothing spectacular, but reliable. Kinda funny how you get attached to little things like a coffee mug. It’s just part of the routine.
