Alright, folks, gather ’round. Today, I wanna share my experience with the Vegas F1 construction. It’s been a wild ride, let me tell you.

The Beginning
So, it all started a while back when I heard the news about the F1 race coming to Vegas in 2024. I’m a huge F1 fan, and the thought of seeing those cars rip through the Strip? Man, I was hyped! I knew I had to be a part of it somehow, even if it was just documenting the whole construction process.
Capturing the Progress
I grabbed my camera and started visiting the construction sites regularly. First, I just walked around, snapping pics of the early stages. You know, the digging, the foundations, the whole shebang. I talked to some of the workers, got some insider info, and learned how hard the work was for them. It was amazing to see the transformation from regular Vegas streets to a full-blown race track.
Then, I thought, “Why not take it up a notch?” I contacted Maverick Helicopters, and guess what? They were cool enough to let me join one of their flights. They even shared some exclusive footage with me. The view from up there was insane! I could see the entire layout, the pit lane taking shape, the grandstands, all of it. And man the speed that they were constructing was also insane, the workers were super efficient.
Documenting Everything
I documented everything. I mean, everything! From the construction of the grandstands in front of the Bellagio, which, by the way, started on September 16th last year and finished in just a few days, to the progress on the garages and the paddock building. It is said that the paddock building alone is a 300,000-square-foot monster!
I compiled all my photos and videos, organized them by date, and created a whole timeline of the construction. It was a ton of work, but I wanted to capture every detail. I even compared the progress with some early drone footage I found online, and it was clear how much they’d accomplished.

The Impact
Now, let’s talk about the impact. I read that last year’s race had a $1.5 billion impact on the city, which is way more than the Super Bowl they hosted. $77 million of tax revenue. That’s crazy! People really anticipated the race. So you know that this year it will be big, I mean like really big.
Looking Ahead
I kept going back, week after week, month after month. I saw the track take shape, the barriers go up, and the whole area transform into something completely different. The 2024 race is set for November 23rd, a Saturday, which is kinda unusual, but hey, it’s Vegas, baby! Anything goes. And it is said that the race will take place at night, just like last year. It’s really interesting.
It’s been an incredible journey documenting the Vegas F1 construction. I’ve met some amazing people, learned a ton about the process, and got some killer footage along the way. I can’t wait to see the final product and watch those cars race through the streets I’ve been watching transform for months. It’s gonna be epic!
- Stay tuned, folks. I’ll keep you updated as we get closer to race day!
Hope you guys enjoy my little adventure, I’m out for now!
