Okay, so I’ve been a huge wrestling fan since I was a kid, and The Undertaker has always been my absolute favorite. His whole vibe, the entrance, the “Deadman” persona, it’s just so iconic. And I got this idea the other day to try to recreate his classic logo. It’s just so cool, you know?

So, first, I pulled up a bunch of images of the Undertaker logo online. I wanted to get a really good look at it from different angles and different eras of his career. It’s mostly that stylized “T”, but there are some variations over the years. I noticed that the “T” is stylized to resemble a headless man with his hands raised, which just adds to the whole mystique of the Undertaker character. It’s meant to signify the Devil, as he’s always been about rising from the grave, showing that he’s immortal and all that stuff. Super cool, right?

Then, I grabbed my sketchbook and started sketching. I decided to go with the classic red-and-grey color scheme, like his old-school attire when he first came on the scene in 1990. That was some classic stuff! I drew the outline of the “T” first, trying to get that perfect shape. It took a few tries, but I think I got it pretty close to the original.

  • Drew the outline of the “T” shape.
  • Filled in the “T” with a dark red.
  • Added some gray shading to give it that metallic, almost tombstone-like feel.

After that, I scanned my drawing and opened it up in a graphic design program on my computer. I cleaned up the lines a little bit and played around with the colors to get them just right. I also tried out a few different background options, like a dark, smoky effect, to really capture the Undertaker’s aura.

Finally, I was pretty happy with how it turned out. It’s not perfect, but it definitely captures the essence of the Undertaker’s logo. It reminded me of all those amazing moments he’s given us over the years, from his debut to his epic WrestleMania matches. Like, did you know that The Undertaker is a seven-time world champion? But it’s not even about the titles, it’s the way he portrays the “Deadman” that makes him so legendary.

The Result

I ended up using my new Undertaker logo as my profile picture on a few wrestling forums I’m on. A bunch of people commented on it, saying how cool it was and how it brought back memories of the “Phenom.” Some even asked me if I could make them custom logos based on their favorite wrestlers! It was a fun little project, and it definitely deepened my appreciation for the Undertaker’s iconic symbol and his legendary career. I even heard about his “1 deadMAN SHOW” where he shares stories from his career and answers questions from the WWE Universe. Sounds like something I would definitely be interested in. Oh and one more thing I remembered, he returned in the 2003 Royal Rumble match on the Road to WrestleMania! That was epic!

So, yeah, that’s the story of how I spent an afternoon geeking out over wrestling and drawing The Undertaker’s logo. It’s pretty neat how something so simple can be so powerful and evocative, right?
