Alright, so, today I wanted to mess around with something I’ve been curious about for a while – those NBA depth charts. Specifically, I was looking at the Brooklyn Nets’ setup. You know, seeing who’s playing where, who’s backing up who, that kind of thing.

First off, I started by just browsing around to see what I could find. There are a bunch of sites out there that have these depth charts, but I mostly stuck to the big names like ESPN and CBS Sports. Figured they’d be the most reliable, right?
When I started looking, I noticed that they all pretty much show the same thing. It’s the 2024-25 regular season roster for the Nets. And they list every single player, from the starters to the benchwarmers. It’s all broken down by position, which makes sense.
I dug a bit deeper and saw that the Nets have like 15 guys on guaranteed contracts, plus another 3 on partially guaranteed deals. That’s a lot of players to keep track of!
Here’s what I did:
- First, I just looked at the overall depth chart to get a feel for the team.
- Then I started to pay attention to each position, like who is the starting point guard, who’s the backup, and so on.
- I went through all the positions like this – point guard, shooting guard, small forward, power forward, and center.
Honestly, it’s pretty interesting to see how these teams are put together. You can really start to understand the coach’s strategy when you look at it this way.
What I Learned
It was pretty cool to see how it all came together. By checking out a few different sources and comparing them, I got a good sense of the Nets’ roster and how they’re likely to use their players. Now, I’ve got a much better picture of the team’s strengths and potential weaknesses. It was a fun little project, and now I feel like a bit more of an NBA insider, at least when it comes to the Nets!
