Okay, so I’ve been trying to get this “Conor McGregor UFC 309” thing working. It’s not a real event, obviously, but I wanted to see if I could create, like, a custom fight card or something in the UFC game. Here’s how it went down:

First Attempts (and Fails)
First, I jumped straight into the game, thinking I could just, you know, make it happen. I went through all the menus – Career Mode, Fight Now, Custom Events… nothing. I couldn’t find a way to actually create a UFC 309 card with Conor as the main event. It seemed like the game only lets you play existing events or fighters within their set weight classes.
Getting Creative (Sort Of)
Then, I thought, “Maybe I can simulate it.” I picked Conor, picked a lightweight opponent who might be believable on a big card (I went with, uh… let’s just say it was a top 10 guy), and cranked the difficulty up. I even tried to, like, role-play the commentary in my head. “And here comes McGregor, looking to make a statement at UFC 309!” It was… kinda lame, but it was something.
Diving into Career Mode
I figured maybe Career Mode would offer more flexibility. I created a fighter, bumped him up to lightweight, and started grinding. The goal was to eventually face Conor, kind of like a “road to UFC 309” story I was building in my head. It took forever. I had to win a ton of fights, build up my stats, and slowly climb the rankings.
Finally… a McGregor Fight!
After hours of playing, I finally got matched up with Conor. It wasn’t officially UFC 309, the game didn’t call it that, but in my mind, this was it. The fight itself was intense! I got knocked down a couple of times (Conor’s left hand is no joke, even in a video game), but I managed to pull off a submission victory in the third round.
My “UFC 309” Conclusion
- Could I create a literal UFC 309 event? Nope.
- Could I fight Conor McGregor? Absolutely, but it took some work.
- Did I have fun making up my own storyline? You bet. It’s all about the imagination, right?
So, while I couldn’t technically create “Conor McGregor UFC 309,” I did find a way to get a satisfying McGregor fight experience. It just took some creativity and a whole lot of button mashing. Maybe they’ll add more customization options in future games, but for now, this was my workaround.
