My Little Hunt for Coastal Columns
Alright, so folks kept mentioning “Coastal Columns,” and eventually, you hear a name enough times, you gotta go check it out yourself, right? Where is this place? Sounded kinda grand. So, I decided to put my boots on the ground, well, digitally speaking, and see what was up.

This whole thing kinda reminded me of a trip I took years back. Packed the family in the car, heading down the coast. Someone, I forget who, told me about this incredible hidden beach, supposed to have these amazing rock formations, like columns, right by the water. Gave me some half-baked directions, “turn left after the funny-looking tree,” that sort of thing.
Man, we spent hours looking for that spot. Drove up and down the same stretch of road, getting more and more frustrated. Kids were whining in the back, wife was giving me that look. Maps were useless back then for stuff like that, no signal half the time anyway. We found some nice beaches, sure, but not the beach, not those columns. Felt like chasing a rumour. We eventually just gave up, grabbed some ice cream, and called it a day. Still bugs me sometimes, wondering if that place was even real.
So, when I started looking for “Coastal Columns” this time, it felt familiar. Same vibe. You look it up, and you get a bunch of different ideas. Some say it’s here, some say it’s over there. It’s like everyone’s pointing at a different spot on the map.
Digging In: The Search Process
So, what did I do? Same thing I always do. I just jumped in. Fired up the game, figured I’d just have to scout around.
- First, I dropped in the general area people seemed to agree on, kinda southwest on the map, near the coast obviously.
- Walked around the cliffs and beaches. Found some spots with rocks that kinda looked like columns, I guess? Nothing screamed “Coastal Columns” though.
- Checked out a few specific spots mentioned in forums. One was near Pleasant Piazza, another hint pointed more towards Snooty Steppes.
- Ran around, looked high and low. Found some ruins, some nice seaside views, but no big sign saying “Welcome to Coastal Columns.”
Here’s the thing I figured out: It seems like “Coastal Columns” wasn’t one big named location like Tilted Towers or something. It felt more like a nickname people gave to a stretch of coastline, specifically that bit southwest of Pleasant Piazza, known for those rock pillar formations along the cliffs and shore.

It wasn’t marked on the main map with big letters. You kinda just had to know the general area, that stretch of coast with the tall rocks. Maybe it was more prominent in an older map season, maps change all the time, makes things confusing.
So, yeah. That was my little adventure tracking down Coastal Columns. Not quite the hidden cove from my road trip disaster, but the search felt pretty similar. Sometimes these places are more about the vibe or a general area than a specific pin on a map. Found some cool rocks, saw the virtual sea. Good enough for me.
