Hey everyone, today I wanna talk about something I got into recently – keeping track of women’s tennis Grand Slam champions. You know, it’s not just about watching the matches, but also kinda cool to see who’s been dominating the courts over the years. So, I decided to make my own little project out of it.

First, I started by just jotting down the names of the players I could remember who’ve won Grand Slams. You know, the big names like Serena Williams, Steffi Graf, and Martina Navratilova. But then I realized, I really wanted a more complete list, something I could look at and go, “Wow, that’s a lot of history!”
So, I started digging around. I found that it took a bit of searching to get all the info in one place. But, I managed to find some good data. I mainly looked at the four Grand Slam tournaments – the Australian Open, the French Open, Wimbledon, and the US Open.
Then came the fun part – putting it all together. I decided to use a simple spreadsheet. Nothing fancy, just something to keep all the info organized. I made columns for the player’s name, the tournament they won, and the year they won it. I started filling it in with the info I had gathered. I have to say, seeing it all laid out like that was pretty satisfying.
I kept going, adding more and more names to my list. Each time I added a new champion, I learned a little bit more about the history of the sport. Like, did you know Margaret Court won 24 Grand Slam singles titles? That’s crazy!
Here’s a little peek at what I’ve got so far:

- Serena Williams: She’s a legend, right? I have her down for winning a whopping 23 Grand Slam singles titles!
- Steffi Graf: Another amazing player. She won 22 Grand Slam singles titles, and she’s the only player to achieve the Golden Slam (winning all four Grand Slams and the Olympic gold medal in the same year).
- Margaret Court: Like I mentioned before, she’s got the most Grand Slam singles titles ever – 24!
And the list goes on! I’m still working on it, trying to make it as complete as possible. It’s been a really cool way to dive deeper into the world of women’s tennis. If you’re a fan of the sport, I definitely recommend doing something like this. It really makes you appreciate all the amazing athletes who’ve graced the courts.
What’s Next?
I plan to keep updating my list, especially after each Grand Slam tournament. I might even try to add more details, like the scores of the finals or maybe some notes about each player’s career. The possibilities are endless, really. It’s like my own little history project, and I’m having a blast with it!
And that’s that! It wasn’t a huge thing, but it was something fun and interesting that I wanted to share. Maybe I’ll give you all an update sometime down the road!
