Okay, so, it’s Week 13 of the fantasy football season, and I gotta say, it’s been a wild ride. I’ve been going back and forth on some tough start/sit decisions, just like every other week. This time around, I really wanted to get it right, especially with the playoffs on the horizon. You know how it is – every point counts.

So, I started digging. I checked out a bunch of stuff online, looking for any edge I could get. I read about Rico Dowdle and how he fumbled last week, but still, he’s the main guy there, so maybe he’s worth a shot? I dunno, felt like a gamble.
Then I found this “cheat sheet” thing. Sounded promising, right? It was supposed to have all this start/sit advice, all in one place. But honestly, it was just a bunch of general stuff. Nothing I didn’t already know, really.
Next, I stumbled upon some optimizer tool. It claimed it could help you make the “right decisions” for your lineup. I plugged in my team, but the suggestions were pretty basic. Like, start your best players. No kidding!
I even checked out some rankings and analysis. They had all these tiers and stuff, trying to break down which players were better than others. It was kinda helpful, I guess, but it didn’t really change my mind on anything.
After all that, I was still pretty unsure about some of my guys. I mean, you never really know who’s gonna blow up and who’s gonna be a dud, right?

But then I thought, screw it, I’m just gonna go with my gut. I’ve been watching these games all season, I know these players. So I made my picks, stuck with them, and hoped for the best. And you know what? It actually worked out pretty well!
Here’s what I ended up doing:
- Started:
- My main QB, even though he’s been a little shaky lately.
- My top two running backs. They’ve been solid all year.
- A wide receiver who’s been on fire the past few weeks.
- My trusty tight end. He’s always good for a few catches.
- Sitted:
- A running back who’s been splitting carries. Too risky.
- A wide receiver who’s been dealing with an injury. I didn’t want to take a chance.
- A defense that was going up against a high-powered offense. No thanks.
In the end, it all came down to trusting my instincts and not overthinking it. Sometimes, you just gotta roll with the punches and hope for the best. And in this case, it paid off. I ended up winning my matchup and securing a spot in the playoffs! It’s not always about having the perfect lineup, but about making the best decisions you can with the information you have. And sometimes, a little bit of luck doesn’t hurt either!
So, yeah, that’s my Week 13 story. It wasn’t easy, but I got through it. And now, it’s on to the playoffs! Wish me luck, folks. I’m gonna need it!
