Okay, so I’ve been diving into the odds for The Players Championship 2024, and let me tell you, it’s been a bit of a rollercoaster. I wanted to get a feel for who the favorites were and maybe, just maybe, find some good value bets.

Getting Started
First things first, I needed to find some reliable sources for the odds. You know, gotta make sure I’m not looking at some outdated or completely made-up numbers. So I did some quick searching, bounced around a few different sports betting sites to see.
Digging into the Data
Once I had a few sources I felt good about, I started looking at the actual odds. I made a simple list, nothing fancy, just jotting down the names of the top players and their odds. It looked something like this:
- Scottie Scheffler: +550 (The favorite, obviously.)
- Rory McIlroy: +1200 (Always a contender.)
- Xander Schauffele: +1400
- Viktor Hovland: +1400
- …and so on.
My analysis process
Now, just seeing the odds isn’t enough. I Started looking at recent player performance. Who’s been hot lately? Who’s been struggling? I checked out their stats in recent tournaments, looked at their history at TPC Sawgrass (the course where The Players is held), and basically tried to get a sense of their current form.
Manually recording everything in detail took me a lot of time and cross comparison.
The Realization
After spending a good chunk of time doing all this, It became a simple thing. It’s all about finding those players who are maybe a little undervalued, players who have the potential to outperform their odds.I record them all and finally made my choice.
