Okay, so today I decided to mess around with “copiapo colo colo.” Honestly, I just saw these two names, and it sounded like a fun little project to try and figure out what they are and how they relate.
First thing I did was hit up the search engine. I just typed in “copiapo colo colo” and hoped for the best. Turns out, we’re dealing with football, or soccer, as some folks call it.
Digging Deeper
It looks like “Copiapo” refers to Deportes Copiapó, a football club from Chile. And, “Colo-Colo” is another, apparently much bigger, Chilean football team, specifically Club Social y Deportivo Colo-Colo. So, my initial hunch about matching them up was correct.
My Little Experiment
I had no existing data, no fancy database. I wanted to see if I could pull some basic info and, sort of, pit them against each other. Maybe compare some stats. Simple stuff.
- Step 1: The Search. Like I said, I started by searching both names individually and then together.
- Step 2: Gathering Intel. Basic info like I am looking for their recent match results, maybe some historical data if I could easily find it.
- Step 3: putting data.I was just grabbing the information that I found, and putting them in the notepad.
The Result
It was a fun little exercise! I learned a bit about Chilean football, which I knew absolutely nothing about before. It showed me how easy it is to start with just two random names and end up with a basic understanding of their connection. Did I build anything groundbreaking? Nope. Did I have a bit of fun exploring? Absolutely!
