Man, today I gotta talk about my experience with the Seattle World Cup thing. It’s been a wild ride, let me tell you.

It all started a few months ago. I’m scrolling through my phone, and I see this announcement that FIFA dropped the match schedule for the 2026 World Cup. And guess what? Seattle’s hosting six matches! Six! I was hyped. I’ve always been a huge soccer fan, or football, whatever you wanna call it, so this was big news for me.
So, I started digging around to see what the deal was. Apparently, this 2026 World Cup is gonna be huge. Like, the biggest one ever. They’re expanding it to 48 teams, which is way more than the last one in Qatar. Plus, it’s the first time three countries are hosting it together – the US, Mexico, and Canada. Pretty cool, right?
Now, I’m thinking, I gotta be a part of this. I started looking into tickets. Let me just say, those things are not cheap. I was browsing around, and some of the tickets for the matches at Lumen Field were going for thousands of dollars. I mean, I love soccer, but that’s a lot of cash. So this is a new problem I need to figure out.
But, I was determined. I started looking for information about the games. I found out that there are gonna be matches with England men’s senior team, Serbia, and Albania. I also learned that the tournament will happen in 16 cities. I gotta make this happen!
- Decide which match to attend.
- Figure out the ticket situation.
- Plan the trip to Seattle.
First, I need to check the schedule and see which teams are playing in Seattle. I’m especially interested in the England matches, so I’m gonna prioritize those.

Next, I gotta tackle this ticket issue. I’m gonna keep an eye out for any deals or maybe find some alternative ways to get tickets. Maybe closer to the date, prices will drop? Or there are other ways to get some tickets? I do not know and need to figure out.
The trip itself
Seattle is not very close to my home, so I start to plan the logistics. I will book the flight and find a place to stay.
I have made up my mind and decided to attend the World Cup in Seattle. I will update the details on this later.
