Well, let me tell you somethin’ about this Real Estelí vs Club América thing. It’s a big ol’ soccer game, you see. Them boys from Real Estelí, they gonna play against them Club América fellas. Lots of folks gonna be watchin’, I reckon.

This here game, it’s important, they say. Some kinda CONCACAF Champions Cup, whatever that is. Sounds fancy, don’t it? But it’s just soccer, plain and simple. Them boys runnin’ around, kickin’ a ball. That’s all there is to it.
- First game, they say it’s on February 6th.
- That’s a Tuesday, if I ain’t mistaken.
- They playin’ at that Estadio Independencia place.
- It starts at 10 o’clock at night. That’s late for me!
Now, if you wanna watch it, you gotta have that FS2 channel. Or somethin’ like that. I don’t rightly know about all them fancy TV channels. My old TV, it only gets a few channels, but it’s good enough for me. I don’t need nothin’ fancy to watch them boys play soccer.
They gonna have another game too, they say. After this first one. That’s how these things go. One game here, one game there. Keeps them boys busy, I suppose. Good for them, keeps ’em outta trouble, you know. At least, that’s what I always said to my boy when he was young. You keep him busy, playing sports, he won’t have time to get into no mischief.
I heard some folks talkin’ about watchin’ it online, on the computer. They use some kinda “stream” word. I don’t know nothin’ about that. All them buttons and wires, it’s too much for me. I just stick to my old TV. Simple and easy. You just turn it on and there it is. No fuss, no bother. But these young people, they always on their phones and computers. I guess that’s just the way of the world now.
They say you can watch it on somethin’ called ESPN2 or ESPN. Sounds like the same thing to me. Just some letters and numbers. But I guess it matters to them that knows about these things. Me, I just like watchin’ the game. Don’t matter to me what channel it’s on, long as I can see them boys play.

This second game, they playin’ it later. Don’t know when exactly. But it’s that Club America team’s turn to host, I reckon. That’s what I heard them sayin’ down at the market. They was talkin’ ’bout it, all excited like. Seems like everyone’s excited for these soccer games. It’s a big deal, I guess. Bigger than a pie contest at the county fair, that’s for sure!
If you really wanna watch this Real Estelí vs Club América thing, you gotta go through that Fox Sports Premium, they say. And they got some kinda “streaming platform.” Again with that word! Sounds like somethin’ you’d do with a fishing rod, not a TV. But what do I know? I’m just a simple person. I don’t need all them fancy words to enjoy a good soccer game.
They got all these fancy ways to watch the game now, that’s for sure. Back in my day, we didn’t have all this. We just had the radio, and sometimes we could listen to the game. But we didn’t need to see it to enjoy it. We used our imaginations. Now, they got it all right there in front of ’em, clear as day. Almost too easy, if you ask me.
But I guess some folks like those live scores and lineups, they said. It is a good game to watch I think. Those Real Estelí boys, they play good. And Club América, they’re a tough team. Should be a good match, they said.
I don’t know much about those stats. Just know this game between Real Estelí and Club America is a big deal to lots of folks. Better than watchin’ the grass grow, I reckon! It’s something to do on those long nights. And who knows, maybe your favorite team will win. That’s always somethin’ to hope for, ain’t it?
