Okay, so I’ve been diving deep into mock drafts lately, because, well, who isn’t? It’s that time of year! And with the Raiders having some, shall we say, interesting needs, I figured I’d take a stab at my own Raiders mock draft for 2024.

First, I scoured the internet for some information. Looked at a bunch of different mock drafts from the “experts,” you know, the usual suspects. Checked out some team needs analysis, trying to get a feel for what the Raiders might be thinking.
My Mock Draft Process
Then came the fun part. I started putting together my own mock, round by round. I’m not gonna lie, it’s tough! Trying to predict what other teams are gonna do is like herding cats. But I gave it my best shot.
- Round 1: This is where it gets real. I was torn between a few different positions, a quarterback and a cornerback. It felt to me the best thing was a quarterback, it’s risky, but hey, that’s what makes it exciting, right?
- Round 2: I focused on addressing a need on defense. I’m thinking defensive.
- Later Rounds: I tried to find some hidden gems, guys who might be overlooked but could develop into solid contributors.
After I had my picks,I compared it to some other mocks, just to see how far off base I was. And honestly? It wasn’t too crazy! Some of my picks were similar to what the “experts” were predicting, which, you know, made me feel pretty good.
Finally, I typed up my mock draft, wrote down a few explanations, and that was it. Now it’s out there, for better or worse! And hey, even if I’m completely wrong, it’s all part of the fun, right? It’s all about the discussion, the speculation, the “what ifs.”
