I went to the Pebble Beach Golf Course today. I’ve heard a lot about this place, and it’s always been a dream of mine to play here. So I finally decided, “Screw it, let’s do this!”

I packed my clubs and got there pretty early. The place is huge! I mean, I knew it was big, but seeing it in person is something else. I checked in and got my tee time. Then I warmed up a bit on the driving range. My swing felt okay, not my best, but good enough.
First hole, par 4. I teed off and, not gonna lie, I kinda shanked it. Ended up in the rough. But hey, it happens. I managed to recover and got a bogey. Not great, but I wasn’t too worried yet.
Some Real Ups and Downs
The next few holes were a real mixed bag. I got a birdie on the par-3 third, which felt awesome. Then I followed that up with a double bogey on the fourth. It was a real rollercoaster.
- Hole 5: Another par 4. Hit a decent drive this time, but my approach shot landed in a bunker. Ugh. Ended up with another bogey.
- Hole 6: This one’s a par 5. I was feeling good and actually managed to reach the green in two! Two-putted for a birdie. Yes!
- Hole 7: The famous par-3. It’s short, but the wind was crazy. I took a gamble and went for it, but ended up in the ocean. Ouch. Triple bogey.
The Back Nine
By the time I made the turn, I was not really happy with the score. But I was having a blast, so I tried not to stress too much about it.
The back nine started off pretty well. I parred the 10th and 11th, which felt like a win after that triple bogey.

- Hole 12: Par 4. Sliced my drive again. Seriously, what is up with my driver today? Bogey.
- Hole 13: Another par 4. Decent drive, decent approach, two-putt par. Finally, a normal hole.
- Hole 14: Par 5. Okay, this hole was rough. I got into trouble off the tee and then again on my third shot. Double bogey.
Finishing Strong?
I knew I had to do something special in the last few holes, but I think I was getting tired. I bogeyed the par-3 15th and then parred the 16th and 17th.
Then came the 18th, the iconic finishing hole. It’s a par 5 with the ocean all along the left side. I hit a pretty good drive, leaving myself a long second shot. I went for it, and it paid off! I landed on the green in two and two-putted for a birdie! What a way to finish!
In the end, my score wasn’t exactly what I hoped for, I will not write it down, a bit too high for my liking, you know. But it was still an incredible experience. Playing at Pebble Beach is a dream come true, even if my game wasn’t perfect. I will definitely come back again, maybe next time I can break 90. And if you’re a golfer, you gotta try this place at least once. It’s worth every penny.
