Okay, so today I decided to check out this Necaxa vs. Toluca match. I’ve been meaning to watch more Liga MX, and this seemed like a good one to dive into.

First things first, I needed to find a way to actually watch the game. I tried a few of my usual sports streaming sites, but no luck. Ended up having to dig around a bit more than usual. Finally found a stream that wasn’t too laggy, which was a win.
Getting into the Game
Once I had the stream up, I grabbed some snacks – gotta have game-day snacks, right? – and settled in.
I didn’t know much about either team going in, so I was basically a blank slate. I figured I’d just watch and see how things played out.
Observations during the match
- Necaxa’s Approach:Started to notic Necaxa was trying to play it out from the back a lot. They had some decent possession, but weren’t really creating many clear-cut chances.
- Toluca’s Counter:Toluca seemed happy to sit back a bit and then hit on the counter. They looked pretty dangerous when they did break forward.
- Midfield Battle:The game got pretty bogged down in midfield for a while. Lots of tackles flying in, not a ton of flowing football, to be honest.
- Key Moments:There was that one Necaxa chance, think it was around the 30th minute, where their striker almost got in. That would’ve changed things up! And Toluca had a couple of free kicks in good positions, but nothing came of them.
Final Thoughts
Ended up watching the full 90 minutes, plus a bit of stoppage time. Was it the most exciting game I’ve ever seen? Nah, not really. But it was still cool to see a different league and get a feel for the teams. I might try to catch another Necaxa or Toluca game down the line, see if they play any differently next time.

All in all, a decent way to spend a couple of hours. Now, time to figure out what I’m doing for dinner…
