Okay, so I’ve been trying to get into this “nagal tennis” thing. I kept hearing about it, and it sounded… interesting. So I figured, why not give it a shot? Let me tell you, it’s been a journey.

The Beginning (and the Confusion)
First, I had to figure out what the heck nagal tennis even was. I did some digging around, you know, the usual searching. Turns out, it’s like, this variation of tennis. At least I think that what I found out after hours of research.
So, armed with my newfound (and possibly incorrect) knowledge, I decided to, well, try it. I grabbed an old tennis racket I had, I found a tennis ball in garage.
The… Practice?
I found this empty wall in my backyard. It was sunny, and the yard looked pretty decent for once. Perfect, I thought!
I started hitting the ball against the wall. I tried to remember what I could, you know, form, follow-through, all that jazz. It was… awkward. Really awkward.
- Attempt 1: The ball bounced twice before I even swung.
- Attempt 2: I whiffed completely. Missed the ball entirely. My dog looked at me funny.
- Attempt 3: I actually hit the ball! It went… sideways. Into the neighbor’s yard. Oops.
I spent a good hour just chasing the ball, hitting it (poorly), and generally feeling like a complete idiot. My back started to hurt, my arms were tired, and I was sweating like crazy. But, weirdly enough, I was also kind of… having fun?

The (Slight) Improvement
After a few days of this backyard wall-bashing, I started to get a little better. I mean, I could actually hit the ball more than once in a row without it going completely haywire. Progress!
I even started to experiment a little. Hitting the ball at the wall from a different angle, or trying to stand a little more…nagal,I don’t know, maybe that would work?
The Verdict (So Far)
So, is nagal tennis my new favorite thing? Honestly, I don’t know. It’s definitely… something. It’s a good workout, that’s for sure. And it’s kind of fun, in a frustrating, “why am I doing this?” sort of way.
I’m definitely going to keep at it, though. Maybe one day I’ll actually be able to play a proper game, or at least know that I am playing the game properly. Who knows! But for now, I’m just enjoying the process of learning something new, even if it’s a little bit (or a lot) ridiculous.
