Okay, so I’ve been messing around with this idea I had, right? It’s kinda dumb, but I called it “movie blue movie,” just for kicks. Basically, I wanted to see if I could take a regular movie clip and make it, well, bluer.
I started by grabbing a random short video I had on my computer. Didn’t really matter what it was, just something to play with. I’m no video editing expert, so I just used some basic, free software I found online.
The Messy Process
- First thing, I loaded the video into the editor. Took a few seconds, nothing fancy.
- Then, I started looking for color settings. I mean, that’s the whole point, right? Gotta find the blues.
- I found this thing called “color balance” or something like that. Seemed like the right place.
- I started sliding things around. There were these sliders for red, green, and, you guessed it, blue.
- I cranked that blue slider way up. Like, all the way. And I kinda turned down the red and green ones.
At first, it just looked weird. Like, really weird. The whole thing was super blue, kinda washed out. But then I started playing with the other sliders a bit more. I messed with the brightness and contrast, just nudging things until it looked… well, not good, but interesting.
It ended up looking like some kind of weird, dream-like sequence. Everything had this blue tint to it, and it definitely changed the feel of the original video. Not sure what I’d use it for, but it was a fun little experiment.
It’s not perfect, obviously. I’m sure someone who actually knows what they’re doing could do a much better job. But hey, I made something blue! Mission accomplished, I guess.
