Okay, so I wanted to dig into the 2013 Miami Marlins season. You know, see what all the fuss was about – good, bad, and ugly.

Getting Started: Finding the Data
First things first, I needed data. I wanted game results, player stats, the whole nine yards. So I started poking around.
- I hit up some of the usual sports websites. You know, the big names.
- I also checked out some dedicated baseball stats sites.
Compiling and Organizing
Once I found my data, It took me a little while to pull all of that information.
I basically dumped everything into a spreadsheet. It was a bit of a mess at first, with stats all over the place, but I gradually got it organized. I made separate sheets for batting, pitching, and overall team records. It’s not super fancy, but it works for me.
Diving into the Numbers
With my data organized, I started looking at the key stuff. I wanted to see how their top players performed, how the team did overall, and if there were any standout moments or, you know, total disasters.

- I specifically focused on things like home runs, RBIs, ERAs, and win-loss records.
- I also tried to track any winning or losing streaks.
What I Found Out
After spending some time with the numbers, I’ve got some ideas of the 2013 season.I’m still working through some of it, but I’ve already spotted a few interesting trends.
I created some simple charts and graphs to help me visualize the data. Nothing too professional, just enough to help me see the patterns more clearly.
So, that’s my little data adventure so * is not a very perfect *’s a work in progress, but I’m learning a lot about that Marlins season, and having fun doing it!
