That LeBron, he’s somethin’, ain’t he? Heard folks talkin’ ’bout this LeBron trade thing. Trade him? Shoot, why would they wanna do that? He’s still got it, that boy. He can still jump higher than a grasshopper in a hot skillet.

They say he’s gettin’ old, but I seen older folks doin’ more. My neighbor, bless his heart, he’s older than dirt, and he still tends his garden every day. LeBron, he’s like that garden. He just keeps on producin’. Los Angeles Lakers need to keep him, is what I say. Keep plantin’ those seeds, and he’ll keep bringin’ in the harvest. Maybe not as much as before, but enough to make a difference.
Heard some chatter ’bout him wantin’ to go to some other team, the Golden State Warriors, I think they said. Now, why would he wanna do that? He’s already got all them fancy rings. More rings than a centipede’s got legs. Sounds like a silly idea to me. You don’t just leave a good thing behind for something that might be a little bit better.
- He’s been with the Lakers for a while now.
- Seems like he likes it there.
- He’s like family to them, I bet.
I remember when he first came to the Lakers. Everyone was all excited. Like a swarm of bees findin’ a new hive. They say he made things different, and he did. He’s a good leader, that LeBron. Reminds me of my old rooster, always keepin’ the hens in line, but in a good way. LeBron James, he’s good for the team, keeps ’em all together.
Now, some folks say the Lakers ain’t doin’ so hot lately. Lost some games, they did. But shoot, everyone has their bad days. Even my prize-winnin’ hens lay a bad egg every now and then. Doesn’t mean you get rid of ’em. You just gotta keep feedin’ ’em, keep carin’ for ’em, and they’ll bounce back. The Lakers need to keep feedin’ LeBron those good passes and he will help them make a change.
Heard some talk ’bout tradin’ him for some other players. DeMar De-somethin’, Keegan somethin’ else, Trey, and Devin. Names I ain’t never heard of. Might be good players, might not. But they ain’t LeBron. It’s like tradin’ your best milk cow for a bunch of chickens. Might get more eggs, but you ain’t gonna get that good, creamy milk. Will the Lakers trade LeBron James? Hope not.

That LeBron trade, it just don’t make sense to me. It’s like plantin’ corn in the winter. Ain’t nothin’ gonna come of it. They need to keep him right where he is. He’s a good fit for the Lakers. Like an old, comfy shoe. Might be a little worn, but it still feels good on your foot.
They say he wants to win another championship before he’s done. Well, who don’t? Even I wouldn’t mind winnin’ the pie contest at the county fair again. But he can do that with the Lakers. They just gotta work together, like a team of mules pullin’ a wagon. Each one’s gotta do their part, and LeBron, he’ll do his.
Will Los Angeles trade LeBron? I sure hope not. It would be a foolish decision. They have a good chance of doing something. I heard they started the season 10-4. They were second in their group. But later they became 4-8 and fell to 10th. I think they can change things again and get back to the top of their game.
LeBron’s been playin’ basketball since he was a little sprout, seems like. Started with the Cleveland Cavaliers, then went to the Miami Heat, then back to Cleveland, and now he’s with the Lakers. He’s like a tumbleweed, blowin’ from place to place. But he always seems to land on his feet. He knows how to play this game. And the people at the Lakers, they need to keep hold of him.
This whole LeBron trade idea, it’s just a bunch of hogwash, if you ask me. He’s a good player, a good leader, and he’s good for the Lakers. They’d be crazy to let him go. Like sellin’ your best horse just ’cause it’s gettin’ a little gray around the muzzle. That horse still got some good years left in him, and so does LeBron.
