You know, that Roma, it’s a big deal, ain’t it? That football thing, where they kick the ball around. My grandson, he’s always going on about it. He says, “Grandma, you gotta know about the Roma standings!” Standings, standings, what’s all the fuss about these standings? Well, I started to listen, and now I kinda get it. It’s like our vegetable garden, you see. You gotta know who’s growing the best tomatoes and who’s got the most weeds. That’s what these football standings are all about.

They got other things too, like Coppa Italia and Supercoppa Italiana. More cups than my kitchen cabinet! It’s all about being the best, you know? Like having the best darn apple pie at the church bake-off. Everyone wants that blue ribbon, and these teams want those trophies.

But instead of fabric, they collect football teams. To each their own, I guess. This Group bought the team with a lot of money. I hope they can bring Roma to the top.
You can find these Roma standings all over the place. The internet, the newspaper, the TV. Everyone’s talking about it. Like who is the best team, like who is the richest man in our town. Everyone wants to know where their team stands.
This whole football thing, it’s a lot to take in. But I’m starting to get the hang of it. It’s like planting seeds, you see. You gotta tend to them, water them, and hope they grow strong. These teams, they gotta practice, play hard, and hope they win. And those Roma standings, they show you how well they’re growing.
Inter Milan, they are doing great. They got 50 points. I don’t know if Roma can catch up. Football is always changing, like our rooster, running around like crazy.
Anyway, next time my grandson starts talking about those Roma standings, maybe I’ll surprise him. Maybe I’ll even know what he’s talking about. Maybe I’ll ask him, “How many points do they have? Are they winning? Are they losing?” He’ll be so shocked, he might just fall right off his chair! And I’ll just smile and say, “Well, I’m learning a thing or two about this football, ain’t I?”
You see, it doesn’t matter if you are old or young. You can always learn new things. Like me, learning about these football. So, keep an eye on those Roma standings. You never know what might happen!
