Alright, so I wanted to see what all the fuss was about with Jrue Holiday’s defense. Everyone keeps saying he’s a beast, so I dug into the stats to see for myself.

Getting Started
First, I needed a good source. I could go to the official site, or use the famous basketball stats site, those sites are way too fancy for my taste,I just want the raw * I opened several sports stats websites and make a sheets for recording them.
Diving into the Data
Okay, so I’ve got the numbers. Now what? I started by looking at the basic stuff:
- Steals: How often does he pickpocket someone? The number look pretty good.
- Blocks: He’s a guard, so I wasn’t expecting much, but he gets a few. I was suprised!
- Defensive Rebounds: How many times does he grab the ball after a missed shot? Solid numbers here.
But that’s just scratching the surface. I also checked out things like:
- Defensive Rating:This one is super important, and is a bit tricky.
- Opponent Field Goal Percentage: When Holiday is guarding someone, how often do they score? That’s the key question!
I compared the numbers from when those players played against non-Jrue guys. The number do decreased.
Putting It All Together
After spending hours staring at spreadsheets and game logs, it started to make sense, I finally understand it. Holiday’s numbers are really, really *’s not just one thing, it’s everything. He’s always in the right place, always hustling.

So yeah, I’m a believer now. Jrue Holiday, total defensive stud. My little experiment proved it, at least to me!
