Alright, so I’ve been messing around with this beast, the Suzuki B-King. Let me tell you, it’s been a wild ride. I got my hands on one of these bad boys a while back, and it’s been turning heads ever since. I mean, just look at it – it’s like something out of a sci-fi movie.

The first thing I did was just sit on it, feel that massive 1340cc engine beneath me. It’s the same one they put in the Hayabusa, for crying out loud! I knew this thing was going to be powerful, but man, nothing prepares you for that kind of raw energy.
I remember when I fired it up for the first time, the rumble was insane. It’s not just a sound, it’s a feeling that goes right through your bones. I took it out for a spin, and let me tell you, this thing moves. I’m talking 179bhp, and it felt like every single one of those horses was chomping at the bit.
Getting It on the Road
- First Ride: I eased it out of the garage, heart pounding. That first twist of the throttle, and whoosh! It was like being shot out of a cannon, but in a good way, you know?
- Handling: This bike is heavy, no joke. Around 580 pounds, but it carries its weight well. Once you get going, it’s surprisingly nimble.
- Brakes: Thank goodness for those disc brakes. With all that power, you need some serious stopping power, and the B-King delivers.
I’ve taken it on highways, back roads, even a little track time – this machine eats it all up. It was cool to ride it on the track, especially since I didn’t do any changes to it from the way it is on the road. They were talking about this bike back in 2001 and whether to make it crazy or not. I’m glad they went all out.
I’ve heard some folks say it’s too much bike, but for me? It’s just right. Yeah, it’s a bit of a handful sometimes, especially when you’re just cruising around town. But open it up on the open road, and it’s like nothing else.
I know they stopped making them in 2012, which is a bummer. I guess not everyone was ready for this kind of crazy. But for those of us who “get it,” the B-King is more than just a motorcycle. It’s an experience, a statement. I guess that is why it became a legend and has so many followers.

It was like nine hundred thousand when it came out I think? Not sure, but it’s not cheap. Mine is used, so I got it a little cheaper. Still, for what it is, I think it’s fair. It’s not something you see everyday.
So, yeah, that’s my story with the Suzuki B-King. It’s been a blast, and I’m not done yet. If you ever get a chance to ride one, do it. Just be prepared – it’s not for the faint of heart!
