Okay, so I finally made it to the Suzuka Circuit! It’s been on my bucket list forever, and let me tell you, getting there from Tokyo is a bit of a journey, but totally worth it. Here’s how my adventure went down:

The Planning Stage
First things first, I had to figure out the best way to get there. I’m not a huge fan of driving in Japan, especially long distances, so I immediately ruled out renting a car. The train seemed like the obvious choice, but I wasn’t sure which one to take or where to change which made me a little nervous.
Train Time!
I did some digging, thank goodness, it turned out pretty straightforward. I needed to hop on the Shinkansen (bullet train) from Tokyo Station. I booked a ticket for the Nozomi train, which is the fastest, heading towards Nagoya,It took about 90 minutes. And man, those trains are FAST.
The Nagoya Shuffle
Once I got to Nagoya, it was time for a transfer. I had to switch to the Kintetsu Limited Express train. This part I found I had to buy a separate ticket for. The Kintetsu train took me to Shiroko Station. This leg of the journey was another 50-60 minutes or so.
Almost There…Bus to Suzuka!
From Shiroko Station, It’s Not far from circuit! I found the buses bound for the Suzuka Circuit. The bus ride itself was only about 20 minutes, and the anticipation was building! I could practically hear the engines revving.
Finally, Suzuka Circuit!
And there it was! The legendary Suzuka Circuit. The whole trip from Tokyo took me around 3 to 3.5 hours, including all the transfers and waiting times. It’s not exactly a quick hop, but honestly, the journey is part of the fun.

Here some quick my tips:
-
Book in advance: Especially if you’re traveling during peak season or for a big race, it’s a good idea to book your Shinkansen tickets ahead of time.
-
Snacks: Don’t forget to grab some snacks and drinks for the train rides. I learned my lesson to buy some food from convenient store.
-
Enjoy the ride: The scenery along the way is pretty great, so sit back and enjoy the Japanese countryside whizzing by.
So, that’s my Suzuka Circuit adventure from Tokyo. If you’re a racing fan, it’s a must-do! Just remember to plan your route, pack your snacks, and get ready for an awesome experience!
