So, I got this idea the other day. My phone’s background was getting pretty stale, just the default thing it came with. Watching the Braves play got me thinking, I really should get something better, something showing a bit of team pride, you know? Decided right then I needed an Atlanta Braves wallpaper.

First thing I did was just grab my phone and start searching around. Typed in the usual stuff, “Atlanta Braves phone wallpaper,” “Braves logo background,” that kind of thing. Man, there are a lot out there. Some cool action shots, some stadium pictures, lots of logos.
Finding the Right Vibe
I scrolled through a bunch. Some looked okay, but maybe the colors were weird, or they were too busy. I wanted something kinda clean but definitely recognizable. Saw a few with players, but faces on a background aren’t really my thing. I kept coming back to the classic ‘A’ logo or the Tomahawk. Simple, bold, does the job.
Found one image that was just the primary ‘A’ logo on a nice navy blue background. Looked sharp. But then I found another one, a bit more textured, looked like it was on fabric, with the Tomahawk Chop logo sort of faded in behind the main ‘A’. That one felt a little more unique.
Getting it Phone-Ready
Okay, so I picked the textured one. Downloaded it. The problem was, like most pictures you find, it wasn’t exactly the right shape for my phone screen. It was more square-ish, and my screen is tall and skinny. If I just set it as wallpaper, it would either cut off the sides or zoom in way too much.
So, I had to mess with it a bit. Opened it up in the basic photo editor on my phone. Nothing complicated, just the crop tool. Took a few tries to get it right.
- First attempt: Cropped it tall, but it cut off too much of the cool texture on the sides.
- Second attempt: Tried to keep it wider, but then it looked squished when I previewed it as wallpaper.
- Third time’s the charm: Found a good balance. Focused on keeping the main ‘A’ logo centered and included just enough of the Tomahawk and texture around it so it looked good vertically. Didn’t really do much else, maybe upped the brightness just a tiny bit.
The Final Result
Once I got the crop looking decent, I saved that version. Went into my phone settings, navigated to the wallpaper section, and selected the picture from my gallery. Set it for both the lock screen and the home screen.
Boom. Looks pretty sweet, actually. Way better than the boring default. Now every time I pick up my phone, there it is. A nice little reminder of the team. Simple little project, but makes me happy seeing it there. Definitely worth the few minutes it took to find and adjust it.
