Okay, so, I’ve been trying to get my hands on one of those cool Korn Ferry Q School shirts. You know, the ones for the PGA TOUR qualifying school? It’s not as easy as it sounds. First off, I had to figure out what this whole Q School thing even was.

Turns out, it’s a pretty big deal. It’s like this intense tournament series where golfers try to earn their PGA TOUR card or at least get onto the Korn Ferry Tour. And guess what? It’s not just for anyone. You gotta have a valid handicap and meet some other requirements. I mean, I play a decent game, but I’m nowhere near that level.
I did a bit of digging, trying to understand the whole process. It’s intense! There are multiple stages – pre-qualifying, First Stage, Second Stage, and then the Final Stage. And each stage is like its own mini-tournament. Players get placed into a starting stage based on their previous performance or career stuff. I found out it starts way back in September with pre-qualifying, and the First Stage is in October.
Here’s the kicker, though: I wanted one of those shirts. So I started searching around. I figured they’d be easy to find, like, “Hey, here’s a cool golf event, let’s sell some merch!” But it wasn’t like that at all. I found some places that sold Korn Ferry Tour stuff, you know, general merch, but not these specific Q School shirts. They had t-shirts and stuff, but they just weren’t the same. They were made by independent artists who were just fans.
- Searched for “Korn Ferry Q School shirts”
- Found information about PGA TOUR Q-School, including eligibility and stages
- Looked for online stores selling related merchandise
- Discovered independent artists selling Korn Ferry Tour-inspired designs
I kept looking, reading about the tournament, and seeing pictures of the TPC Sawgrass Dye’s Valley Golf Course. That got me more excited about it, actually. Then, I stumbled upon this website that had some more details about the schedule and locations. But still no shirts!
Finally, I saw a post, It was like, “Hey, we have grab-and-go breakfast for the Q-School!” And then it hit me. These shirts are probably more for the players and people involved, not really for sale to the general public. I felt like a big dummy, haha.

Realization
So, yeah, I went on this whole journey to get a Korn Ferry Q School shirt, only to realize they’re probably not even for sale. It was a fun little adventure, though. I learned a lot about the Q-School and professional golf, and I still think those shirts are pretty awesome, even if I can’t get one. Maybe one day, who knows? But for now, I guess I’ll just have to settle for watching the tournament and admiring the shirts from afar.
It also made me realize how exclusive some of these things are. Like, it’s not just a shirt; it’s a symbol of being part of this elite group of golfers. Pretty cool, right?
