Okay, so I wanted to figure out who was the center for the Golden State Warriors back in 2017. It’s something I’ve been curious about for a while, and I finally decided to dig in and find the answer.

My Research Process
First, I fired up my web browser. You know, the usual starting point for any investigation these days. I typed in something like “Golden State Warriors roster 2017”.
I clicked through a few of the results. Some were just general news articles, others were fan pages. Nothing really concrete at first.
Then, I found a website that looked promising. It had a list of players, and I could scroll through the different seasons. Bingo!
I made sure I was looking at the 2016-2017 season, because that’s the one that would include the 2017 part I cared about.
I scanned down the list of players, looking for anyone listed as a “Center” (C). It was pretty easy to spot.

- I saw the main guy, Zaza Pachulia. He was definitely the starting center for most of that season.
- Then I noticed JaVale McGee. He was another important center, playing a lot of minutes off the bench.
- I also found a few others, like Anderson Varejao and Damian Jones, though they didn’t play as much.
So, after all that digging, I figured out that Zaza Pachulia and JaVale McGee were the primary centers for the Warriors in 2017, with a couple of other guys filling in sometimes.
It wasn’t rocket science, but it was satisfying to track down the information I was looking for. I always like learning more about my favoriate basketball team.
