Okay, so I wanted to go to a Phillies game the other day, and I was like, “Can I just take the subway?” I live in the city, and driving/parking is always a nightmare, so I figured I’d give the subway a shot.

Figuring Out the Route
First, I pulled out my phone and did a quick search. Turns out, yeah, you totally can use the subway!
I started by checking the subway map. I’m pretty familiar with the Broad Street Line, so I knew that was my best bet.
I found that I needed to get to the southernmost stop.
My Trip to the Stadium
So, I hopped on the Broad Street Line heading south. The ride itself was pretty standard. You know, typical subway stuff – some interesting people-watching, a few delays, but nothing crazy.
- I made sure to have my subway card loaded up beforehand. Saved me some time at the station.
- It’s wise to pay attention to the annoucement in the subway.
When I got off the train, it was super easy. I just followed the crowds – everyone was heading to the game, so you can’t really get lost. There were also signs everywhere, so that helped a ton.
Getting Back
After the game (which the Phillies won, by the way!), getting back was just as simple. I walked back to the station, found my platform, and waited for the next northbound train.
I got Home fast and easily.
All in all, taking the subway to Citizens Bank Park was way easier than I expected. Definitely doing that again!
