Alright, wanted to figure out the Penn State wrestling lineup for the upcoming 24-25 season today. It’s that time, you know, after the championships wrap up, you start wondering who’s sticking around, who’s coming in. Gets the mind going.

So, my first move, pretty standard stuff, was heading over to the official Penn State Athletics website. Seemed like the most logical place to start. I navigated through their sports menus, found the wrestling section, pretty easy. Looked for that ‘Roster’ link. Clicked on it.
Well, guess what? It was still showing the 23-24 roster. Not a huge shock, really. Sometimes they take a bit to update things after the season ends, especially getting the new guys officially listed and sorting out weights and all that. So, okay, official site wasn’t the jackpot just yet.
Checking Other Spots
Next, I thought, let’s check the wrestling news sites and maybe some fan forums. Places where people talk about this stuff nonstop. Did a few searches, you know, typing things like ‘Penn State wrestling roster 24-25’, ‘Nittany Lions wrestling recruits’, stuff like that. Found a lot of articles talking about the guys who just finished the season, summaries of nationals, things about the new recruiting class. That was helpful, saw the names of the incoming freshmen announced. Good info there.
Scrolled through some forum threads too. Lots of discussion, people speculating who might bump up a weight class, who might use that extra year of eligibility some guys have, potential transfers in or out. It’s mostly talk, you know, fan speculation, but sometimes you pick up little nuggets that turn out to be true later.
Putting Pieces Together

So, after poking around those places, I didn’t find a nice, clean, official 24-25 roster list. But I started putting together my own rough idea.
- You got the guys who definitely should be returning based on eligibility.
- You add in the names from the official recruiting class announcement.
- You try to factor in any transfer news that seems solid.
It’s not perfect, far from it. It’s just my own list based on what I could gather from different places. You kind of have to play detective a bit during the offseason until they post the finalized version. It’s part of the process, keeps you thinking about the team. For now, we just gotta wait for the official word from the program itself. It’ll come out eventually.
