Okay, here is my sharing about Florida tracks and trails.

Man, I gotta tell you about this crazy adventure I had recently. So, I decided to hit up some trails in Florida, you know, get some fresh air and see some nature. I’d heard about this place called “Florida Tracks and Trails,” and it sounded right up my alley.
First things first, I did a little digging online. Found out this place used to be a big deal, but it seems like they had some rough times. I read something about “terrible professional advice” and bankruptcy. And some other parties with financial interest decided to liquidate it. What a shame, right? But hey, that didn’t stop me. I’m always up for checking out new spots.
I focused on the Florida National Scenic Trail, also called the Florida Trail, or just FT for short. This thing is legit, you know? It’s one of those congressionally-designated trails, which means it’s a pretty big deal.
I packed up my gear, grabbed my hiking boots, and hit the road. I decided to start in Central Florida. Heard great things about the trails around there. First stop, Wekiwa Springs State Park. Man, what a beautiful place! The springs were crystal clear, and the trails were just awesome. I spent a whole day there, just wandering around, taking in the sights and sounds. It was so peaceful, you know?
Next up, I headed over to Rock Springs Run Trail. This one was a bit more rugged, which I loved. Lots of different terrain, some hills, some water crossings. It was a real adventure. I even saw some wildlife along the way. No alligators, thankfully, but plenty of birds and other critters.

- Wekiwa Springs State Park: Beautiful springs, great trails.
- Rock Springs Run Trail: Rugged, diverse terrain, wildlife sightings.
After that, I figured, why not check out some other spots? So, I kept going, exploring different trails around Central and South Florida. Each one had its own vibe, you know? Some were more developed, with paved paths and stuff. Others were way out in the middle of nowhere, just you and nature.
One thing I noticed, though, was the lack of detailed information in some areas. Like, I’d find a trailhead, but there wouldn’t be much info about the trail itself. No maps, no signs, nothing. Good thing I had my phone with me, so I could use some hiking apps to figure things out. Still, it would’ve been nice to have some old-fashioned paper maps, you know?
Anyway, overall, it was an amazing experience. I got to see some really cool places, got some good exercise, and just enjoyed being out in nature. If you’re ever in Florida and you’re into hiking, I definitely recommend checking out some of these trails. Just make sure you do your research beforehand, and maybe bring a map or download a good hiking app, just in case.
I also found some info online about must-visit spots for 2025. I guess I’m ahead of the game! There’s a lot to explore, from outdoor activities to scenic getaways.
Man, Florida’s got a lot to offer for us hikers and nature lovers. I’m already planning my next trip back. So many trails, so little time!

I hope you will like my sharing!
