Okay, so I’ve been meaning to check out Corbett Dam for a while now. I finally got around to it, and let me tell you, it was a pretty cool experience. I did a bit of research beforehand, you know, just to figure out the best time to go and all that.

Planning the Trip
I read somewhere that the best time to visit is between late October and June. Apparently, the weather’s nicer then, and the forest is all green and pretty after the monsoon. Plus, the waterfall’s supposed to be really full.
So, I picked a weekend in November. Packed a bag with some snacks, water, and my camera, obviously. Gotta get those pictures!
The Drive & Arrival
The drive there was…interesting. Lots of winding roads, and I definitely took a wrong turn or two. Thank goodness for GPS, I’d still be driving in circles. But the scenery was great, so I didn’t mind too much.
When I finally got there, I found a spot to park. It was a bit crowded, but hey, it’s a popular spot.
Exploring the Area
First thing I did was walk towards the sound of rushing water. Couldn’t miss it. And boom, there it was – Corbett Dam. It’s not huge, but it’s definitely impressive. The water was really gushing, and the mist was spraying everywhere. Felt pretty refreshing.

I spent some time just watching the water, taking pictures. It was really relaxing. Found a good spot on a rock and just chilled for a bit, enjoying the view and the sounds.
- Walked around: I explored the area a little, checking out different viewpoints.
- Checked out the forest:The surrounding forest was nice.
- More Pictures:Then I wandered along a path for a bit, snapping more photos.
Wrapping Up
After a few hours, I figured it was time to head back. I was getting hungry, and the sun was starting to go down.
Overall, it was a great day trip. Would I go back? Yeah, definitely. Maybe I’ll even try camping nearby next time. Heard that’s a thing.
